“Healing is not as an effort to “better” ourselves, but rather is self-retrieval - reconnecting with our inherent goodness and recovering parts of ourselves that have been lost, hidden, or shut down.”

Regardless of what issues and problems are present in our lives, we all have inherent goodness, dignity, and worth that are permanent and infinite. When we become disconnected from this truth, as we all do, we suffer. Pete views healing not as an effort to “better” ourselves, but rather as self-retrieval - reconnecting with our inherent goodness and recovering parts of ourselves that have been lost, hidden, or shut down due to painful and traumatic events in our lives. Pete believes that through compassionate acceptance of ourselves and our story, we can move towards such healing and wholeness.
Pete’s spiritual and family life help ground his work. Pete actively participates in contemplative prayer/meditation groups weekly, and he has led such gatherings online and in churches. Pete is married and is the father of a beautifully wild toddler.
Pete holds a Master’s of Social Work from Tulane University. Prior to obtaining the Master’s of Social Work, Pete was a Pastor for 6 years and worked in the corporate world before that.
