STAY Therapy Group:
How to STAY connected during conflict

“I’m frustrated with you.”
“What were you thinking?!”
"I can't believe you said that!”

Their complaint is a knife driven into your heart. It feels like a character assassination.

This leads to you shutting down, leaving, or ending things. Or, it’s internal agony and a shame spiral.

The STAY 5-week therapy group will:

untangle Your conflict cycle:

  • Map your unique response habits

  • Unearth the thoughts and feelings that drive your internal tumult

Master getting grounded:

  • Orchestrate your internal parts to work for you, not against you

  • Use your feelings and thoughts to make wise decisions

  • Learn how to apply the balm of compassion to your heart that is trying so hard to care for you

anchor to your Values & your Worth:

  • Create a plan to act in accordance with your values

  • Shift from knowing about to believing in your worth

make a plan:

  • Create a plan to act in accordance with your values
Identify three specific actions you can take to disentangle from these disconnects

Optional 6th Session on December 5 to discuss a Christian element of staying connected during conflict. During this time we will look at a theology of blessing and worthiness, embracing the idea that you are uniquely created in the image of God.

The group will include a mixture of teaching, exercises and personal reflection, and group discussion.

You will conclude the time together feeling more confident and equipped to STAY connected during conflict in your most important relationships.
